The Project and the Role Description
As a Master Data Management (MDM) Business Analyst, you will be functionally responsible for the successful implementation and delivery of MDM or Product Information Management (PIM) solutions.
Acting as the key interface between business stakeholders and technical teams, you will ensure business requirements are accurately captured, translated into scalable data models, and aligned with organizational data governance standards.
Your role is central to enabling high-quality, consistent, and reliable master data that supports core business functions and digital transformation initiatives.
Tasks
ITake functional ownership of MDM/PIM solutions throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Gather, document, analyze, and prioritize business requirements related to master and product data.
Analyze existing business processes and data landscapes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
Prepare functional specifications, process maps, data flows, and user stories.
Facilitate workshops and act as a key communication link between business and technical teams.
Collaborate with Data Architects and MDM/PIM consultants to design effective solutions.
Support data modeling, taxonomy management, attribute configuration, and product hierarchies.
Contribute to data quality initiatives, governance frameworks, validation rules, and testing activities.
Support user training, onboarding, and change management activities.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and promote MDM/PIM best practices.
Required Skills
Experience with STIBO STEP or Collibra
Previous experience as a Business Analyst in MDM, PIM, Data Governance, or Data Management projects.
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality principles.
Experience with data modeling, product hierarchies, taxonomies, and master data concepts.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international environments.
Fluent English.
Based in Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary or Poland
Nice to Have
Experience with Product Information Management (PIM) platforms.
Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks and best practices.
Experience working within consulting environments.
Experience facilitating workshops and business process improvement initiatives.
Understanding of MDM implementation methodologies.
